Gate OneSeventeen provides leadership development and training for ecclesiastical leaders. We believe that faith based organizations are crucial to the issues facing Africa.  Moreover, good leadership allows for the organizations we empower to flourish for generations to come.  

Over the last 10 years we have trained hundreds of leaders in Central and East Africa by bringing trainers from the United States and creating a centralized, high-energy, two week training event.  Our hope is to continue to provide this event every other year.  

While this is one of the least expensive campaigns that we do, in many ways it has some of the biggest impact.  Ironically, it is also one of the most difficult campaigns for us to raise funds for.  

Through our international contacts, we have recently begun to partner with other church leaders in countries with very limited religious freedom.  For obvious reasons, we cannot discuss the details of our training efforts on a public forum but we are excited about the potential of making a big difference in some very dark places in our world.
